We changed the oil and filter and checked and lubed the chassis. We also replaced the upper and lower control arm bushings, upper and lower ball joints, front shocks, sway bar links, tongue bushing, and much more. The second owner owned this corvette for the last 30 years. He spent almost 50,000 dollars doing upgrades to this corvette over the years including ZZ4 crate engine, 700R4 transmission, dual exhaust, headers, quick fuel carburetor, Griffin aluminum radiator, Edelbrock aluminum heads, Edelbrock aluminum intake, roller cam, MSD ignition, Line Lock, rear end rebuilt with 4:10 gears, Wilwood calipers, slotted and drilled rotors, trailing arm assemblies, seat covers and foam, carpet, steering box, power steering control valve, chrome alloy wheels, and much more. He replaced the original speedometer with a 160 MPH one at about 71,000 original miles. GM produced 40,606 corvettes in 1981 with only a limited number done in the two tone paint scheme. This was the last year for the Saint Louis Assembly Plant and the first year for the Bowling Green Plant.
